JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru is a constituent college of the JSS Academy of Higher education and Research (JSS AHER). Established in year 1973, the college has made great strides in advancing pharmacy education and research in the country and has been referred as the ‘Laboratory of Pharmacy Education’ where innovative programs and practice concepts are conceptualized, tested, and implemented.

JSSCPM had pioneered the cause of introducing the concept of ‘Pharmacy Practice’ in the country and was first to introduce the post graduate program in Pharmacy Practice and also the Pharm.D program in the country. Recently it has introduced once again for the first time the Residency Programme in Oncology & Nephrology for the Pharm.D students.   As stated in the vision and mission, the college strives for high-quality education, training, and research focused on lifelong learning. The Postgraduate diploma and certificate courses are unique in themselves and are offered to the students as an add-on to the regular programs. The college houses some of the nation’s best research and teaching laboratories and that has attracted many a bright faculty and student nationally and internationally as their destination. The college has a Drug Testing Laboratory which is approved by Govt. of Karnataka and is NABL accredited.

The college’s pursuit for ‘Quality and Excellence’ has always found itself being able to benchmark amongst the best. The programs of the college are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), India. The Pharm.D. The program has been certified by Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), USA and remains to be the only institution in India to achieve this distinction.  The college has consistently been ranked among the top 10 Pharmacy Institutions by NIRF consecutively for the last 6 years and is presently ranked at 9^th among the pharmacy colleges in the country (by NIRF, MHRD, Govt. of India).
